Frank Harris was a young man who returned home in 1945 to Nevada from serving the Allied Powers and the United States Armed Forces in World War II. Shortly after reuniting with his mother, Harris and his mother go out for a joyride on Harris' new motorcycle. But they collide with a drunk driver and Frank's mother Agatha Rose Harris is killed in the accident. Shortly thereafter, Frank is pulled into the Cool World by Dr. Vincent Whiskers. Doc Whiskers soon goes to the "Real" World to keep the balance of the 2 worlds steady.
