Diego Lugano

Diego Alfredo "Tota" Lugano Moreno (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈdjeɣo luˈɣano]; born November 2, 1980 in Canelones) is a Uruguayan footballer who currently plays for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Uruguay national football team as a central defender. Lugano has previously played for Plaza Colonia, Nacional, São Paulo and Fenerbahçe. He is also captain of the Uruguayan national football team, and was selected the best captain in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He starts his career in Club Atlético Tres Esquinas Canelones (child football) and the pass to the Club Atlético Libertad (Canelones, Uruguay). In December 1998, he plays on first squad of Libertad to be champion with 18 years old. From Libertad, in 1999, he transfers to the Club Nacional de Football (Montevideo, Uruguay).
