Diego Zangado (born June 11, 1980) is a Brazilian drummer, percussionist and composer.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Diego Zangado graduated in symphonic percussion and classical music from the Escola de Musica Villa-Lobos, one of the most traditional conservatories in Rio de Janeiro. Diego Zangado (born June 11, 1980) is a Brazilian drummer, percussionist and composer.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Diego Zangado graduated in symphonic percussion and classical music from the Escola de Musica Villa-Lobos, one of the most traditional conservatories in Rio de Janeiro. He extended his studies taking classes from Eliseu Costa, the solo timpanist of the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Theatre Orchestra and Andre Boxexa, timpanist of the Brazilian National Symphonic Orchestra and drummer of "Agua de Moringa", a well-known group of samba and choro. Diego also took composition and harmony lessons from the electroacoustic music composer Tato Taborda.
Diego became the first timpanist of the Fluminense Federal University symphonic band and he was elected the best instrumentalist in the 1999 Festvilla, the music festival of the Villa-Lobos Music School.
