Doug Ellin (born April 6, 1968) is the creator of the HBO television series Entourage. Ellin also serves as executive producer and head writer for the series. He attended Tulane University.

Ellin was born in Merrick, New York. Before producing and writing for Entourage, Ellin served as a staff writer for Life with Bonnie, which starred Bonnie Hunt. The series ran from 2002-2004. Ellin has also written screenplays for three films, Kissing a Fool, Phat Beach and The Waiter, which he also directed. Shortly after he moved to Los Angeles from his native New York City, he worked as a stand-up comedian at such venues as The Improv and The Comedy Store. He is reported to be working on a new series for HBO that centers around hedge fund managers and their friends and colleagues.
