Drew Gilpin Faust

Drew Gilpin Faust, an American historian and professor, is the first female president of Harvard University. A veteran Ivy League professor and administrator, Faust is known especially for her work on the history of the American South. She has won the Society of American Historians Francis Parkman Prize in 1997 for her book, Mothers of Invention: Women of the Slaveholding South in the American Civil War.
