The Netherlands' first international tournament was in 2004 when the men's team competed at the European Lacrosse Championships in Prague, Czech Republic. The team finished 9th out of 12 countries. Since then, the men's national team has competed at the World Lacrosse Championships in 2006, the European Lacrosse Championships in 2008, and a host of smaller invitational club tournaments throughout Europe.
