East Greenwich

East Greenwich is a town in and the county seat of Kent County, Rhode Island, United States. The population was 12,948 at the 2000 census. It is the wealthiest municipality in Rhode Island and was named for Greenwich, England. Until 1854, East Greenwich was one of the five state capitals for Rhode Island.
