Edvard Beneš (pronounced [ˈɛdvard ˈbɛnɛʃ] (help·info)) (28 May 1884 – 3 September 1948) was a leader of the Czechoslovak independence movement, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the second President of Czechoslovakia.
