Elmer Davis (January 13, 1890 - May 18, 1958) was a well-known news reporter, author, the Director of the United States Office of War Information during World War II and a Peabody Award Recipient. Davis was born in Aurora, Indiana, the son of a cashier for the First National Bank of Aurora.
