She is best known for her roles as Detective Jessica Angell on CSI: New York, Mia on Two and a Half Men, and Dr. Helen Bryce on Smallville. In feature films, Vaugier has appeared alongside Michael Caine and Robert Duvall in Secondhand Lions. Vaugier was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and grew up in a French-speaking French Catholic household. She divides her time between Los Angeles and Vancouver. She attended an all-girls private school for 10 years and is fluent in French.
