Engineers formed in London in 2003. They were signed to the Echo record label, and the band recorded and released the Folly EP in September 2004. The EP featured the singles "Come in Out of the Rain" and "Forgiveness" (which the band would re-record for their debut album), as well as a cover of Tim Hardin's "If I Were a Carpenter." Their eponymous debut album followed in March 2005, preceded by the top 50 single "Forgiveness" in February. Later in 2005, they recorded a version of Tim Buckley's "Song to the Siren" for the 2005...
