Enjoy Yourself reached number one in the United Kingdom, and produced two number one singles. In January 1990, the album was certified four times platinum in the UK, and sold over one million copies within the first ten weeks of its release.
Following the commercial success of her debut album Kylie in 1988, Minogue began recording her second album with Stock, Aitken and Waterman at PWL Studios in London, England in February 1989.
