At Eric's copy shop, Eric (Jason Segel) and his co-worker Eugene (Kyle Gass) are consoling a fellow employee, Greg (David Krumholtz), after he broke up with a girlfriend who cheated on him. Eric boasts that Lizzie would never cheat on him, but Eugene and Greg are skeptical. To prove them wrong, he calls up Rachel and pretends to be devastated over the news that Lizzie cheated on him with Lloyd. Eric is triumphant when she has no idea that it happened ("Lizzie hooked up with Lloyd? Nobody tells me anything!"), but then she asks if it happened "before or after Steven."
