Evgeny Sveshnikov

Evgeny Ellinovich Sveshnikov (Jevgēņijs Svešņikovs) (born Cheliabinsk, February 11, 1950) is a Latvian, former Soviet International Grandmaster of chess, and a chess writer. He played in his first USSR Chess Championship when he was just 17 years old and became an IM in 1975 and a GM in 1977.
