Fabrizio Moretti (born June 2, 1980, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is the drummer of the American alternative rock band, The Strokes. Fabrizio’s side project with Rodrigo Amarante of Los Hermanos and Binki Shapiro, entitled "Little Joy" debuted on Rough Trade Records. Moretti was born to an Italian father and a Brazilian mother. He and his family moved to New York City when he was four years old, and had plans to stay there only for three years, but in the end they stayed for seventeen. In an interview for a Brazilian website, Leo Moretti, Fabrizio's brother, stated that even after all this time living in the States, they always felt like foreigners, considering themselves as Brazilians and always strongly identified with their Brazilian roots.
As a teenager, Moretti attended the Dwight School with fellow band members Nick Valensi and Julian Casablancas.
