Chong's best known film as a screenwriter is Infernal Affairs, which he co-wrote alongside Alan Mak. Martin Scorsese's 2006 American remake, The Departed, was adapted from Chong and Mak's screenplay and would win four Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director.
