Henry Darius (Dale), a convicted serial killer suffering from psychopathy imprisoned in New York, confesses to an unsolved murder and is flown by the Department of Correction to Florida to show detectives where he buried the victim, Lydia Johnson. However, the plane crashes en route to Miami and Darius escapes, killing four unsuspecting witnesses. Detective Mac Taylor of the NYPD's Crime Lab, who put Darius in jail for his previous crimes, travels to Miami to help Horatio and his team of CSIs find Darius before he kills again.
