Fingernails is the first album released by Children of the Anachronistic Dynasty. It was released in 1986. A later version of the third track, "Burn About Out", performed on Peace Day, contains lyrics and a nearly-identical melody from what would be the 1993 single "Sober" by Tool. However, the two versions are in no way related except for the title; the Sober version was recorded live on April 17, 1987.
Keenan later said in a June 1997 interview that the album "sucks" and that he refused to re-publish the album.
