According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 4.1 square miles (10.6 km²), of which, 3.0 square miles (7.7 km²) of it is land and 1.1 square miles (2.9 km²) of it (27.45%) is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 1,754 people, 764 households, and 524 families residing in the village. The population density was 592.0 people per square mile (228.8/km²).
