In 1988 EMI invested in the label, whilst in 1994 EMI gained complete control and folded it into Parlophone a few years later.
Food, as a sub-label of EMI, was the record label of Blur, Idlewild, Jesus Jones, Dubstar, Octopus and Grass Show.
