Fritz Moravec

Fritz Moravec (April 27, 1922 in Vienna, Austria, March 17, 1997 in Vienna) was an Austrian mountaineer, author and famous alpinist. He is most famous for the first ascent of Gasherbrum II, the last mountain of the Eight-thousander in the Karakoram that was unclimbed in the 1950s.
