GameTab operates under UGO's 1UP.com, formerly operated by Ziff Davis.
GameTab was first started by Jeremiah Freyholtz, the creator and current owner of the popular video game box art website, VGBoxart, EvoTab, a website very similar to GameTab and The Frugal Gamer, a website created for keeping track of game deals around the internet.
