George Grey Barnard

George Grey Barnard (May 24, 1863 – April 24, 1938) was an American sculptor. Barnard was born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, but grew up in Kankakee, Illinois, the son of Joseph Barnard and Martha Grubb, and the grandson of his namesake George Grey Grubb. He first studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, and in 1883–1887 worked in P. T. Cavelier’s atelier at Paris while he attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts.
