The average score for A level results in 2004 was 329.4 points compared to a county average of 266.6. In this year, the A level pass rate was 99% for the second year running with 80% of students achieving A to C grades, above the national average. A 100% pass rate was achieved in 35 of 47 A level subjects offered.
In 2006 the college achieved a 98.5% pass rate compared with the national pass rate of 96.6%. Of more than 2000 subject entries, over 1000 were at the top A and B grades and over 1500 at grades A to C. In 33 of the A level subjects offered by the College a 100% pass rate was achieved.
