Crockett and Tubbs are working undercover in a hotel, where they are investigating some corrupt policemen who have a prostitution business. The investigation takes another direction when they find out that the corrupt policemen are trading with Albert Szarbo, a known safety deposit box robber.
Despite Crockett and Tubbs's efforts, Szarbo and his aide manage to infiltrate the hotel's security and open the safety deposit boxes. The investigation reaches a dead end when the Vice squad discovers Szarbo and his aide dead, and that they only robbed some papers from the boxes.
Lt. Castillo intervenes personally when he discovers that Szarbo's aide was from Thailand, a country where Castillo worked for five years when he worked for the DEA.
