Gregg Hoffman (June 11, 1963 – December 4, 2005) born in Phoenix, Arizona, was a movie producer responsible for developing the hit movies Saw and Saw II. He was working on Saw III and other films for Twisted Pictures when he died in a hospital in Hollywood, California of natural causes. The character of Mark Hoffman was named in his memory. He was a graduate of Phoenix Country Day School in Arizona and American University in Washington, D.C.
