The original Greyhound buslines were formed in 1928 as a passenger service in Toowoomba. They would merge with Pioneer in 1992 as Greyhound Pioneer. Other companies that are now apart of Greyhound Australia were McCaffertys (founded 1940), Travel Coach, Suncoast Pacific Coaches and Bus Australia brands.
