"Guess Who's Coming to State Dinner?" is the ninth episode in the second season of The Venture Bros.
The Gargantua-1 Space Station breaks orbit and begins to crash towards Earth. By a stroke of luck, it crashes into a known terrorist cell and Colonel Bud Manstrong becomes a national hero, although his partner Lt. Baldovitch is killed in the crash. At the White House reception in his honor, Dr. Venture derides Manstrong's alleged accomplishments while Brock Samson has some unpleasant interaction with Secret Service Agent Hauser, a former OSI agent and acquaintance of Samson's.
During the reception dinner, Bud tells of his limited recollection of the crash, Dean thinks he sees a ghost, and a half-drunk Mrs. Manstrong aggressively flirts with Brock. After Brock yells at her to knock it off, the president suggests that they retire for the night, and asks Bud for a private meeting.
