Guillaume Canet (born 10 April 1973) is a French actor and César Award winning film director.
Canet was born in Boulogne-Billancourt. After having dated since 1999, he married German model-actress Diane Kruger on 1 September 2001. They divorced in 2006 but acted alongside one another in Joyeux Noël.
In 2009, Canet made news by wearing a White Knot to the Academy Awards ceremony in order to show his support for the marriage equality movement.
