Hahn Rowe is a New York City violinist, guitarist, composer, and record producer involved in a wide-range of projects. Originally a violinist and guitarist with New York City dream-poppers Hugo Largo, Rowe became a session player in the New York scene.
As a musician, he has played on Glenn Branca's Symphony No. 5 and songs by J. G. Thirlwell (as Foetus, Steroid Maximus and Wiseblood), Swans, R.E.M., and Moby. Behind the boards, he engineered recordings for Branca, Thirlwell, Antony and the Johnsons, and David Byrne.
Rowe is an accomplished electronica artist, writing drum'n'bass as Somatic and DJing in numerous New York City nightclubs. He also composes music for other media, including film and dance, the latter via long-standing collaborations with choreographer Meg Stuart.
Rowe is also a film music composer who is responsible for, among other work, the original music for Lodge Kerrigan's Clean, Shaven.
