Along with Wabash College and Morehouse College, Hampden-Sydney is one of only three remaining traditional all-male colleges in the US. The school's mission is to "form good men and good citizens in an atmosphere of sound learning." As such, Hampden-Sydney has one of the strictest Honor Codes of any college or university.
