The album has also had a lot of confusion on whether or not it was a motion picture soundtrack for the film Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, however it was intended for a release as a live album, and was released officially two months after the film's premiere.
The album's first single, "Rock Star", was released in January 2008 as the promotion for the 3D film. In February 2008, the music video also showed the album name in its credits.
