Hase Seishu

Hase Seishū (馳 星周, Hase Seishū) (born February 18, 1965) is a well-known Japanese novelist. He is known for writing Yakuza crime novels. A few of his novels (The City of Last Souls and Sleepless Town) were turned into movies with some directed by notable Japanese director, Takashi Miike. Seishu also wrote the story for Sega's 2006 video game, Yakuza, and its sequel, Yakuza 2.
