In January 2006, Hed Kandi Records was acquired by the UK record company Ministry of Sound for an undisclosed sum. Since then, Mark Doyle and his team created a new record label, Fierce Angel. The leadership of Hed Kandi was taken over by Dan Baxter, who had previously worked for the label/brand when it was owned by UK media company, the Guardian Media Group. As of 2009 the Hed Kandi brand, together with Ministry of Sound, belongs to the MSHK Group.
In March 2007, Hed Kandi opened a Beach Bar in Egypt's Red Sea coastline resort of Hurghada city. This added to their portfolio by branching in to venues.
