In the tradition of the "His/Her Story" episodes, series protagonist J.D. gives up narration duties for the duration of this episode, and, in this case, Elliot Reid takes over.
Elliot is excited that she has found a new mentor in Dr. Molly Clock ￢ﾀﾓ so much so that she is no longer scared of Dr. Cox, and decides to blow him off before he starts one of his usual rants. Her faith in Molly is later shaken when she discovers that Molly is attracted to dangerous men. Elliot's initial attempts to reconcile with Dr. Cox fail, leaving her with no one to look up to. Finally, Dr. Cox agrees to help her, and advises her to go back to Molly for mentoring. She does, and Molly gives the news that she broke up with her boyfriend, but admits to Elliot that she would rather endure an unstable relationship with a man, rather than a typical boring one.
