Former Princess Himani married Prince Paras of Nepal on 25 January 2000. Her husband was appointed Former Crown Prince of Nepal on October 26, 2001, meaning she became the Former Crown Princess amidst various royal protocols. They have three children.
On 28 May 2008, the monarchy in Nepal was officially abolished, replaced by secular federal republic. In July 2008 Crown Princess Himani left Nepal with her family to move to Singapore.
