Hiroyuki Ebihara (March 26, 1940-April 20, 1991) was a Japanese world-champion flyweight boxer from Tokyo. His record includes 62 wins (33 KOs), 5 losses, and 1 draw. He was the first world flyweight champion certified by the World Boxing Council, and he was also certified by the World Boxing Association and The Ring. The “Punching Pokémon” エビワラー (Ebiwarā, Ebiwalar), known as Hitmonchan in the English-speaking world, is named after him.
