Over half of all Hmong speakers speak the various dialects of the Chuanqiandian cluster in China, and the Dananshan (大南山) dialect of Chuanqiandian forms the basis of the standard language in China, but Hmong Daw (White Miao) and Mong Njua (Green Miao) are more widely known overseas due to emigration. There are also Hmong immigrants that live in Canada, though not as many as there are in the United States.
