Hollyoaks: Let Loose was a spin-off of British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, originally devised by Phil Redmond. After leaving Hollyoaks, Ben and Lisa move to the big city to lead a new life, where they are forced to communicate on a new level. Along the way, they make friends with all kinds of people, including sister and brother,Ally and Alex Harrison. Ally is the first character we meet in the main show, Hollyoaks, when she and Lisa both try to buy the last pair of hair straighteners in a shop. A friendship is soon formed, and Lisa sees that there is more than the humdrum student life that she is currently living in Hollyoaks village. She soon convinces boyfriend Ben that the best thing for them to do is to make a fresh break from the village and join Ally and friends. This desire to break free is fueled by the opposition that Ben and Lisa were facing within their relationship.
