The Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP) provides multiple social services to more than 2,400 low income, San Francisco families each year. Seizing the motivating opportunity created by pregnancy and parenthood, HPP joins with families to help them recognize their strengths and trust in their capacity to transform their lives to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty. On a drop-in basis, clients receive support services designed to help them identify their strengths and obtain the assistance they need to move out of homelessness and off dependence on public assistance. Since 1992, the HPP has been an independent nonprofit. HPP has grown to serve the expanding needs of families.
