Horace Eaton (June 22, 1804 – July 4, 1855) was an American Whig politician. He was born in born in Barnard, Vermont on June 22, 1804. He graduated from Middlebury College in 1825 and in 1828 from Castleton medical College and took up practice in Enosbury, a village in Berkshire, Vermont. In 1848 he was appointed professor of chemistry and natural history at Middlebury, and held the chair till 1854.

He was a member of the Vermont state legislature, lieutenant governor of Vermont from 1843 to 1846 and governor of Vermont from 1846 to 1849, and a member of the Vermont State constitutional convention of 1848. He also served as the first state superintendent of education.
Eaton died in Middlebury, Vermont on July 4, 1855. Interred at Enosburgh Center Cemetery.
