The chart made its debut on October 17, 2003, with "Just the Way You Are" by Milky being the first number-one song, even though it had been number one for three weeks, having topped it the week ending September 28. The reason for this is because the chart was unpublished for the first ten weeks of its existence, which means that its official issue start date was August 17, when the actual first number-one was "Never (Past Tense)" by Roc Project featuring Tina Arena.
