Icelandair Group was initially a subsidiary of Icelandic investment company FL GROUP, but in February 2006, FL GROUP announced plans to list Icelandair Group in the Iceland Stock Exchange and in October 2006 it was announced that the Icelandic bank and investment company Glitnir had reached an agreement to sell 51% in the company on the Iceland Stock Exchange. In Early 2007 Icelandair Group was listed on the OMX as ICEAIR.
