Idaya Kovil (1985) is an Indian Tamil language film directed by Mani Ratnam starring Mohan, Radha, Ambika and Goundamani . The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Ilaiyaraaja. After three successive failures Mani Ratnam delivered this fourth film of his, which was moderately successful. The film is about a singer (Mohan) who finds fame and fortune in a city but the loss of his love (Ambika) makes him an errant.
