Idlewild contrasts OutKast's hip-hop/funk/soul sound against a story about a Juke joint in the fictional Depression-era town of Idlewild, Georgia in 1935. Distributed by Universal Pictures, the film is a Universal and HBO Films production with Mosaic Media Group and Forensic Films.
