Ilocos Sur (Ilokano: Abagatan nga Ilokos, Filipino:Timog Ilokos) is a province of the Philippines located in the Ilocos Region in Luzon. Established in the 16th century, Vigan is the best preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia.
