When the Scully family first arrived in Ramsay Street, the absent Jack was spoken of as being a successful soccer player for the fictional "Barnsford FC", stated to be one of England's top teams after having transferred from West Ham United F.C.. His family would occasionally watch the matches in which he played on television at unusual Australian hours (thanks to the UK-Australia time difference).
