Jacques Loeb (born April 7, 1859, in Mayen, Rhineland-Palatinate; died February 11, 1924, in Hamilton, Bermuda) was a German-born American physiologist and biologist. Loeb was educated at the universities of Berlin, Munich, and Strasburg (M.D. 1884).
