As a hobby, Kaufman produces both original compositions, and rearrangements of varied pieces. Examples include reproducing game music with high-quality synthesized instrumentation, and reproducing popular music within the confines of chiptune technology. In 2009, he contributed a cover of Freddie Freeloader to Kind of Bloop, a chiptune tribute to Miles Davis' Kind of Blue.
