Eisenhower is the eldest daughter of Julie Nixon Eisenhower and David Eisenhower, the granddaughter of Richard M. Nixon, and the great-granddaughter of Dwight D. Eisenhower. She was born in San Clemente, Orange County, California, spent her childhood in Valley Forge, Chester County, a suburb of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, and graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University in Evanston,Illinois. She has one brother, Alexander Richard Eisenhower (b. 1980), and one sister, Melanie Catherine Eisenhower (b. 1984).
